The Leftist forces in Lebanon organized a joint sit-in in the surroundings of Beirut (the capital).. a common statement denounced the economic neoliberal policies of the government and its privatization projects of the public services.
the statement said that "3 thousands Lebanese Lira (2$) is the daily income of half of the Lebanese people, while 200 families are looting the public money picked up from the sweat of our foreheads". The demonstrators denounced the continuous electricity cuts and reclaimed the reduce of fuel prices.
